THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE CORE GROUP OF THE EMRO REGIONAL CHAPTER OF THE COLABORATIVE FOR THE GOVERNANCE OF HEALTH SYSTEMS

The ONDH, represented by its Secretary General, Mr. El Hassan El Mansouri, took part in the work of the annual meeting of the core group of the Eastern Mediterranean Regional Chapter of the Collaborative for Health Systems Governance, from October 28 to 30, 2019, in Cairo.

In the presence of health systems specialists and WHO experts, ONDH presented the two initiatives recently launched under the chairmanship of the Secretary General, namely ;

• - The constitution of the Francophone Antenna of the Collaborative for Health Systems Governance, with the mission of promoting access to knowledge and dialogue on health systems governance by removing the language barrier and promoting the sharing of experiences and best practices between Francophone countries.
• The launch of the national antenna of the Collaborative with the mobilization of a network of qualified Moroccan experts, on September 12, 2019 at the headquarters of ONDH.

The experiences of the Francophone and Moroccan Collaborative were warmly welcomed by the audience. In line with the collective learning logic recommended by the Global Collaborative, they constitute a space for multisectoral reflection inviting health system actors to exchange and build together in order to improve the governance of health systems to progress towards Universal Health Coverage.

The Francophone Antenna of the Collaborative was officially launched during a workshop organized by the National Observatory for Human Development, in partnership with the WHO office in Morocco, the WHO Department of Health Systems Governance and Financing in Geneva, and the global secretariat of the Collaborative for Health Systems Governance.
